Documented connections have not been authenticated or tested by this directory. “Not established” means we do not have enough evidence, rather than that a feature is unavailable.

Pricing & what you get.

penpot.app/pricing lists cloud plans in USD: Professional $0 per user/month, Unlimited $7 per editor/month capped at $175 per month, Enterprise $25 per member/month, and Private Server $50k per year. Unlimited and Enterprise show a 14-day trial. The source is MPL-2.0. A comparison grid also lists storage and version-history figures; those cells were not reliably tied to a plan name in this review.

A few things to check.

  • No MCP client was connected and the local npm server was not started.
  • The MCP help page says the agent can create, rename, move, delete, and restyle the focused page.
  • penpot/penpot-mcp is archived (README banner 2026-02-03; GitHub stars 532; pushed_at 2026-03-19). Current setup docs are the Help Center, not that repository.
  • Default branch of penpot/penpot is develop. Latest commit reviewed: 2026-10-23. GitHub reported 61,614 stars. Copyright line names Kaleidos.
  • The Professional card says no limits. The same pricing page also shows finite storage figures in a comparison that this review did not bind to plan names.

Start with a better brief.

Add your brand and goal, then paste this into your preferred agent.

I am making [asset and goal] for [brand, audience, and product]. Read Penpot (https://penpot.app/?utm_source=agentswipefile&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=agent-brief&utm_content=penpot) before any install. Read the Help Center MCP page before any connection. Do not paste an MCP key or userToken into a prompt. The archived penpot-mcp repository is not the current setup guide. Do not run install commands, npx, curl installers, or connect an MCP server.
